Street Outreach Program provides street-based services to runaway, homeless, and street youth 21 years of age or younger who have been subjected to or are at risk of being subjected to, sexual abuse, prostitution, sexual exploitation, and severe forms of trafficking; and to build relationships between street outreach workers and runaway, homeless, and street youth to move youth into stable housing and prepare them for independence. This is accomplished by contacting youth on the street, building rapport, and engaging in an interactive relationship that will result in a deliberate client assessment or the beginning of a case plan.
Drop In Center
Our Drop-In Center provides supportive services for youth to come and get necessities such as food, clothing and hygiene, showers, laundry and ID's. This program implements positive alternatives for runaway, homeless and street youth by improving their immediate and ongoing safety, well-being, self-sufficiency and permanent connections.
“I was trying to get into college; Tahoe Youth & Family Services is the only reason I was able to prove residency since I am homeless. They helped me with the application process. Without them I would not be able to attend college.”
