Tahoe Youth & Family Services is a non-profit organization that has been serving youth and families in the South Lake Tahoe community since 1971 and the Douglas County, Nevada and Alpine County, California areas since 2008.
Tahoe Youth and Family Services was created in 1971 as a community response to the number of adolescents killed due to drug overdoses. The original name of the agency was Awakening Peace, which was a drop-in center for teens to hang out and receive drug diversion services. READ MORE

The Tahoe Youth & Family Services Board of Directors are dedicated community members from a broad range of careers. Terms for members are three years with no term limits. Terms for officers are for one year, with no term limits.
