May Is Mental Health Awareness Month — Empowering Lives, One Conversation at a Time
At Tahoe Youth and Family Services, Mental Health Awareness Month is more than just a calendar event—it’s a powerful opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to the individuals and families we serve every day.
Our mission is to empower youth, families, and individuals through comprehensive behavioral health treatment, housing programs, and supportive services to promote well-being and independence. During May, we elevate that mission by breaking down stigma, raising awareness, and opening the door to meaningful conversations about mental health. Mental health affects us all. Whether it’s anxiety, depression, trauma, or the stress of daily life, the need for support and understanding is universal. Through our services, we aim to meet people where they are—with compassion, resources, and the belief that healing and growth are possible.
This May, we invite you to join us in:
Starting open and honest conversations around mental health.
Exploring and sharing our programs that support behavioral health and housing stability.
Advocating for improved access to mental health services in our community.
Practicing self-care and checking in on the well-being of others—especially youth and families.
Mental Health Awareness Month is a reminder that you are not alone, and that with the right support, every person can find hope, healing, and resilience.
Thank you for standing with us. Together, we can build a healthier, more compassionate community. Your mental health matters. Let’s talk about it.
Dealing with a mental health condition can be challenging, and we urge individuals and families to reach out to our offices for mental health counseling services. In times of crisis, immediate support is accessible - contact or text 988 for help.
