Current Services include:
- Low and no cost individual, family and group counseling services for youth (0-18) and families; topics include adolescent substance abuse issues, attachment issues in young children, parenting skills and family reunification.
- Tahoe Runaway Youth Services is the only provider of shelter and counseling services to runaway and homeless youth and youth needing a safe place overnight.
- 24-hour crisis line and Straight Talk information line.
- Street Outreach Program and Project Safe Place for runaway and homeless youth and youth at risk for running away, homelessness, exploitation, precarious living situations and high risk behaviors.
- Counseling for teens at the Young Parents Program at South Tahoe High School and at TREC, a collaborative program with County Probation and County Office of Education for youth on probation and youth expelled from school.
- Counseling services to children at risk for child abuse and families at risk for instability and unsafe behavior.
- Counseling and referral services through the El Dorado County Differential Response program of the Social Services Department.
- Reflective supervision, case management, classroom observation and counseling services to Head Start and Early Head Start teachers and families
- Consultation to local child care providers regarding infant and toddler mental health needs and assessment.
- Co-parenting classes for parents in conflictual divorce situations; life skills classes for early intervention with youth at risk for alcohol and drug abuse and law enforcement intervention; recovery group for adolescents dealing with substance abuse issues.
- Mentoring Program for children of prisoners.
- Eating Disorder Support Group.
- Recovery Support Group for Adolescents.
- Support groups for gay, lesbian and questioning youth.
- Planned Parenthood Expanded Services including free STD testing, support and education, birth control and referrals to local health care providers.
