Outreach Assistant Closes:
| JOB SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Outreach Coordinator, the Outreach Assistant will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and reporting of the Street Outreach Program. Additionally, the Assistant will collect data and compile reports to the applicable funding agencies. This position is a full-time, Tuesday-Saturday.

•An undergraduate degree is preferred.
•One year of experience in a related field is preferred.
•Relevant experience may be substituted for the required education, as deemed appropriate by the Executive Director.
•Special consideration will be given to persons with knowledge of community-based organizations.
•Special consideration will be given to persons who speak and understand Spanish.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Provide program outreach and education to public and private agencies, schools, and the community through direct presentations and participation in community events.
2.Monitor funding source requirements of the assigned program responsibilities.
3.Street Outreach Program:
a.Supervise volunteer and employed Outreach Workers/Peer Advocates;
b.Facilitate weekly Street Outreach meetings and develop agenda for those meetings;
c.Facilitate and coordinate weekly outreach to the youth of the community through presentations, street outreach in relevant locales, handing out relevant and useful information through “palm cards,” condoms, hygiene materials, Safe Place and shelter information;
d.Develop relevant materials to be distributed to youth;
e.Facilitate and coordinate outreach to the community regarding all aspects of the agency’s programs and services.

This position is a part-time,hourly position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
All responsibilities of the Outreach Worker/Peer Advocate are “as directed” by the Outreach Coordinator and/or Outreach Assistant. It is most important that the Outreach Worker/ Peer Advocate is able to identify with and provide information to other youth in a manner consistent with the agency and program philosophies on outreach.
