our mission: To promote the healthy development of children, families, and individuals through counseling, mentoring and support programs.

Basic Center Program

Implements positive alternatives for runaway, homeless and street youth by improving their immediate and ongoing safety, well-being, self-sufficiency and permanent connections. TYFS'  Basic Center Program focuses around a Comprehensive Youth Services Model and provides a full continuum of services including a 24-hour crisis line; gateway services; crisis intervention services; assessment; coordinated case management; individual,  and family counseling; emergency temporary shelter via Host Homes and safe alternative placements; and after-care services. TYFS integrates positive youth development and preventative services strategies into our culture of care by embracing harm-reduction and trauma-informed approaches in order to assist runaway, homeless and street youth in achieving safe, stable living arrangements and self-sufficiency.
